{ new COVID-19 policies & cancellation guidelines }

Updated Policies:

  • All guests must wear a face mask upon entry into The Daily Details Uptown. You may purchase a disposable mask for $1.50 if needed.
  • Certain services are temporarily paused as we navigate COVID-19. Wax services that would require a guest to remove their mask are temporarily unavailable. Makeup services are currently not available.
  • Due to social distancing, we will not be able to provide a manicure and a pedicure at the same time. Each appointment will be its own time block.
  • A $3 sanitation fee will be added per visit, per guest to cover additional time and materials needed to ensure the safety of our staff and guests.
  • All services must be pre-booked in advance. Walk-ins will not be allowed. This is so that we can adhere to strict limited occupancy rules and ensure there is enough space between each guest.
  • Credit Card information will now be required to book an appointment with us. This is in response to our updated Cancellation & No-Show policies below.
  • The day before your appointment, a team member will call you with a health questionnaire. We reserve the right to re-schedule any appointment based on these answers.
  • Due to limited occupancy rules, guests will not be allowed to bring anyone with them to their appointment (including children or infants), and we may ask you to wait outside before your appointment begins. Our waiting area will remain closed until further notice.
  • We will no longer offer any complimentary beverages to avoid glassware being exposed to coughs or sneezes. There is a Starbucks around the corner from us to grab a beverage before or after your time at TDD.

Updated Cancellation Policies:

  • Cancellations with at a minimum of 5 hours notice will not result in a charge. We encourage anyone who is feeling unwell to cancel and re-schedule their appointment promptly.
  • Cancellations with less than 5 hours notice will result in a 50% charge of appointment cost.
  • No-Shows will result in a 100% charge of appointment cost.
  • Cancellations indicate that the client has reached out to TDD to cancel the appointment.
  • No-Show indicates that TDD has had to reach out to the client at appointment time. For services 30 mins or less, you will be marked as a “No-Show” 10 minutes after your appointment start time, if not present. For services 45 mins or longer, you will be marked as a “No-Show” 15 minutes after your appointment start time, if not present.

At Your Appointment:

  • All guests must wear a face mask upon entry into The Daily Details. You may purchase a disposable mask for $1.50 if needed.
  • A staff member will check your temperature at check-in. If you are running a fever, we will re-schedule your appointment.
  • We will confirm your responses to our healthcare questionnaire to make sure you are in good health.
  • All guests must wash their hands (regardless of service type) prior to starting a service. Guests will also be asked to wash their hands upon re-entry if they need to step outside of the salon during their service.

Sanitation and Health:

  • All staff will be required to wear a face mask, face shield and gloves while performing services. Before they begin their shift, they will have their temperature taken.
  • All staff will be required to wash their hands prior to the start of a client service.
  • All wax and nail tools & implements are hand-washed with antibacterial soap, soaked in barbicide for a minimum of 10 minutes, and stored in a UV sterilizer.
  • Every pedicure bowl is cleaned with antibacterial soap, followed by hospital-grade sanitizer between each service. At the end of each day, each non-whirlpool enamel pedicure bowl is bleached nightly.
  • All work stations and chairs are wiped down with disinfecting spray between every guest service.
  • All public-facing areas such as door handles, checkout counters, tables and chairs will be sprayed with disinfecting spray throughout the day.
  • We never reuse towels, hairbrushes, tools or implements without laundering or sanitizing these items after every guest service.

While this seems like alot, we haven’t forgotten why you come to The Daily Details. It’s to escape stress and to focus on your health and wellbeing. We might be wearing masks, but you can bet we will be smiling behind them eager to welcome you into our beauty bar!
