It’s Finally Fri-Yay!!!
It was a busy week here at TDD, filled with hard work and fun, so we have lots to share in this weekend wrap-up. We hosted two classes in the salon this past week!
On Monday night, we played host to Charlotte’s SkillPop class. We love hosting SkillPop, it’s always a great opportunity to meet fellow Charlotteans and learn some great skills. The class on Monday was to ‘master your at-home blowout’, so it was only appropriate for Charlotte’s favorite blowout spot to host it. The class had a big turnout, and its host Kenna was fabulous! She gave some wonderful tips and boasted about her fave Kenra products. Lots of ladies switched out their old bristled brushes for new ceramic plated Olivia Garden brushes, because the right tools make a huge difference in your finished look.
If you haven’t tried a SkillPop class before, give it a try! Whether you want to learn calligraphy, tackle public speaking, or get tips for investing your money, they’ve got a class for you!! Check out their site for upcoming classes: www.skillpop.com/classes/charlotte
TDD Blowout Basics
So, some of you may be thinking, ‘wait.. don’t you teach your own classes at TDD?’ , you’re absolutely right!! And since we can’t get enough of teaching Charlotte our hot tips for fabulous hair, we hosted our own class this week as well. Our in-house classes are done in small groups, usually there are 6 or 8 guests, this way our guests really gets the one-on-one attention you need to master blowout techniques. They are lead by our salon manager Ashley, who has experience teaching cosmetology students, and of course training stylists. She is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to technique and products. The class we hosted this week was on Wednesday night was our Blowout Basics Class, which focuses on basic techniques and quick tricks to overcome issues you face when styling your own hair. Next in house class will be “Day-to-Night Make-Up: How to transition your look”, taught by our very talented esthetician, Danielle. Check out our website for schedules, under the “classes” tab.
Dress For Success
Personally, my favorite part of this week was Wednesday morning. We were able to be a part of Charlotte’s Dress For Success Power Brunch Event. TDD proudly sponsored the event and donated nail, waxing, and hair services to all the ladies participating. Dress For Success is an international organization that has helped nearly a million women to feel empowered, encouraged, and confident. The organization helps women to overcome obstacles in their lives, provides professional attire, assists them in creating a professional portfolio. Furthermore, the organization helps them to find work, begin careers, and finish educations. It was a blessing to work with this organization and to meet all the amazing women who took part in the event.
